During the recent Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, Hollow Knight fans were treated to a brand new trailer for Silksong, along with a potential release window.
The highly anticipated sequel has been in development since 2019, but has received very little in the way of news and updates since that initial period. This has led to the game achieving somewhat memetic status among players, frequently finding itself trending on social media whenever there is a direct-style presentation, even though no updates are ultimately shared.
This new trailer gives us another look at the game in action, but also gives us a potential release window. The showcase itself was touted to focus on games releasing “within the next 12 months”, and in response to a fan asking about this on Twitter, the official Xbox account seemingly confirmed this is the case:
Of course, “the next 12 months” is still a very broad potential release window, and could mean anything from next month to next year. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
