Earlier this week, Nintendo announced Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity – Definitive Edition an enhanced version of the game for the Switch 2.

According to multiple reports, the physical release for the game will be on a Game-Key card. This is the second Nintendo published game to release on a Game-Key card, following Pokemon Pokopia earlier this year.

Nintendo previously said that they had “no plans” to put games that they had developed on Game-Key cards, and this holds true with both Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity and Pokopia, which were both developed in collaboration with Koei Tecmo. Game-Key cards remain controversial among players due to not actually containing the game on the cart, only a license key to download and play it off the eshop.
