Isabelle Will Be Present In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Earlier today, Nintendo finally revealed that Animal Crossing: New Horizons was heading to Switch. Some fans, however, may have been concerned by the absence of Isabelle duing the trailer.

Well, fret not! In a new interview with IGN, Nintendo’s Aya Kyogoku confirmed that the adorable Shih Tzu secretary will be part of the game. However, she won’t be immediately present – and players have to complete some objectives before she plants her roots on the player’s island!

“If Tom Nook is a great recruiter, and if he succeeds with the Nook Inc. Deserted Island Getaway Package PR, then she may come back. If the player chooses to stay in the tent, Tom Nook may say ‘Hey, actually, that guy likes living more of an outdoorsy, wild life.’ So he may not see the necessity of adding new resident support services. But then if you do upgrade to a house, he may see a new for a new facility.”

Essentially, Isabelle is returning – but will most likely have a different role than before! We’ll just have to wait for more official trailers or screenshots in the future to learn how she arrives on the island.

In the meantime, you can catch up with the full reveal trailer of the game below.
