Iwate Prefecture’s Geodude Playground Park Now Open

The park is located in Iwate’s Kuji City, and features a number of playground equipment and statues featuring Rock-Type Pokemon such as Geodude, Onix, Aerodactyl, and more.

Following its opening, visitors to the park will have a higher chance to encounter Geodude while playing Pokemon GO, as well as the opportunity to take AR pictures of Geodude using GO Snapshot. In addition, structures in the park will appear as Pokestops in Pokemon GO, allowing players to get postcards and other items from them. Finally, the roadside station building near the park will have a Rock Pokemon theme, and will be selling Pokemon merch and drinks.
