The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has become the bestselling Zelda game in history in Japan as of September 2, 2018.

This comes from Media Create sales charts the sales tracker released today. As of September 2, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has sold 1,258,611 copies at retail (Switch and Wii U versions combined), surpassing Ocarina of Time’s 1,257,205 copies. The exact figure should be higher if we factor in digital sales.
