It has almost been 5 months since Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s launch on Nintendo Switch, and its sales momentum have remained as impressive as ever.
According to sales figures from Media Create, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has been selling at least 10,000 copies consecutively every week since launch. This is an impressive feat, given that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and ARMS aren’t able to sustain the kind of momentum Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has.
Another title that has been selling extremely well every week is Splatoon 2, which is not unusual given its huge popularity in Japan.
As of last week, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has sold 747,454 copies in Japan. It should be hitting 1 million no later than next year.
