Dengeki Online, a Japanese website that independently tracks sales data, has revealed more details on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s launch sales in Japan.
According to Dengeki, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate moved 1,234,807 units at launch. It was the bestselling game on the week of December 7. About 75% of the initial shipment ordered by retailers was sold last week, a very high percentage.
Dengeki says Super Smash Bros. Ultimate got off to a strong start in Japan, and expects the game to hit 2 million copies sold before 2018 ends due to the Christmas and New Year gift-giving season.
