Japan: Taiko No Tatsujin Switch Sells 70k Copies At Launch

Media Create has released their sales data for the Japanese video game market, between the period of July 16 and July 22, 2018.

Taiko no Tatsujin: Nintendo Switch Version, released in Japan on July 19, was the bestselling game in Japan clocking in 69,984 copies. Coming in at second place is Octopath Traveler at 22,438 copies, followed by Splatoon 2 at 21,913 copies. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker moved 20,547 units, roughly half of what it sold at launch.

Nintendo Switch continues to dominate the hardware sales charts, having sold 53,745 consoles in a week (59.3% of all hardware in Japan).
