Japan: Touhou Sky Arena: Matsuri Climax Is Due Out January 2019, New DLC Character Revealed

Area Zero finally announced a release window for Touhou Sky Arena: Matsuri Climax.

Previously announced coming in late 2018, Touhou Sky Arena: Matsuri Climax will now be launching on January 2019. A new DLC character, Toyosatomimi no Miko, is expected to launch in the same month.  She will be part of the three-character Season Pass priced at 800 yen.

The Toyosatomimi no Miko add-on set includes:

• Toyosatomimi no Miko playable character
• “Divine Spirit Mausoleum” stage
• Four battle tracks (“True ~Forever~” by Rakugen Alice, “Phosphor” by Get in the Ring, “Spirit Away ~Dividing Line~” by Iron Attack!, and “Surpass Zero” by C-Clays)

In addition, Remilia Futo will be included as well as an add-on. Other DLC characters already announced were Yukari Yakumo and Yuyuko Saigyouji. They will both be included as part of the 800 yen Season Pass. If previous information still stands, the DLC characters will be added one by one until March 2019. The base game will be offered for 3,000 yen.

While no localization plans have been announced yet, given that Touhou Kobuto V made it to the west on Nintendo Switch, it might be possible Touhou Sky Arena will get the same treatment.
