Today we have some pretty interesting news about an Izakaya (Japanese bar that serves dishes and alcoholic drinks) in Tokyo, Japan.
A 18 seater Izakaya called P-GO Izakaya: Genki No Kekera has opened at the Bunkyo ward in Tokyo, Japan. The “P-GO” in the Izakaya’s name is no coincidence – it’s a short form of Pokemon GO. P-GO Izakaya is situated close to a PokeStop and Gym in Pokemon GO. The gym is so close to the Izakaya that customers inside could use it.
According to the owner of P-GO Izakaya, Soichiro Ichiba, it took him less than a year to reach level 40 in Pokemon GO. While playing Pokemon GO in Tokyo, he felt there was little chance to play with friends or other team members as compared to other places. So he decided to open P-GO Izakaya, where trainers can compete with each other and make friends.
P-GO Izakaya will host Trainer Battles, events, and social gatherings. Pokemon GO Training lectures and various events are currently being planned.
