Japanese TV Show Reveals More Unused Pokemon Red & Blue Designs

The long and illustrious history of the Pokemon franchise has had more of its forgotten secrets unveiled.

A show on NHK recently dug up some never-before-seen sketches of Pokemon – back when the franchise was still ‘Capsule Monsters’. Pokemon fans will recognize Kanto favorites like Rhyhorn and Pinsir – but there are some bizarre designs that never saw the light of day, either. Like a softer-looking Scyther, and a terrifying tube worm pokemon.
