Several weeks ago, Unshō Ishizuka, the Japanese voice actor for Professor Oak and Samson Oak in the Pokemon anime, passed away to great shock to fans.
Today we’ve learned Ishizuka’s replacement has been named. Succeeding the late Ishizuka is Kenyū Horiuchi, a veteran voice actor born in 1957. He’ll be voicing Samson Oak in the Pokemon anime from the episode airing on October 21, 2018. It’s currently unclear whether he will voice Professor Oak as well
