Many Wii And GameCube Titles Now Running At Full Speed On Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch homebrew community has achieved yet another huge milestone with Wii and GameCube emulation on Nintendo Switch this month.

After improvements to increased RAM clock speeds and audio support were added to the Lakka emulator, many Wii and GameCube titles could now be played at full speed on Nintendo Switch. Not all of these games are able to maintain a constant frame rate at this time, but it’s a huge improvement over the 5 to 10 frames per second gameplay from months ago.

Here’s some Wii titles such as Dragon Quest: Monster Battle Road Victory and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess in action:

And some GameCube titles such as Luigi’s Mansion, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and Animal Crossing running on Switch:

With the Switch technically capable of running Wii and GameCube titles through homebrew, this proves that Nintendo should be able to emulate them on Switch, and if they want, offer them directly to customers.
