Nintendo has announced that they will be halting development on Mario Kart Tour next month.
According to an official news post, the mobile racing game will stop receiving new content starting October 4th 2023, after the Battle Tour. Following this date, all tours will feature reruns of content that appeared previously. The game will not receive any new courses, drivers, karts, or gliders after this date.
This news comes four years after the game launched back in 2019, which is a respectable length of time compared to Nintendo’s other mobile game ventures. At the time of this writing, it is not known whether this move is signaling an end to the game altogether sometime in the future. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
