The Mario Kart World Direct has shared the first details for Time Trial, VS (Versus), and Battle Mode.
In Time Trial, you can race three laps in various courses and race against ghost data from other players. This is similar to how Time Trial works in past Mario Kart titles.
VS also works similarly to past Mario Kart titles. You can choose the speed class (ones confirmed at the moment are 50cc/100cc/150cc), whether you want to play in teams (up to 4 teams), items, CPU difficulty (easy/medium/hard), how you want courses to be selected, and number of races. You can also choose to race tracks and intermissions that you’ve unlocked in Grand Prix and Survival.
Lastly, Battle Mode will make a return to Mario Kart World, with two types of battles confirmed so far – balloon and coin battles.
