It seems that first party Nintendo Switch 2 physical games will cost less in Asian countries as compared to other countries.

According to Nintendo’s official website, the suggested retail prices for the physical version of Mario Kart World in various Asian territories are about USD10 less than the US.

While the physical version of the game will retail for USD79.99 in the US, it will retail for USD68 to USD70 in Asian territories (USD value according to exchange rate at the time of writing):

  • Japan: 9,980 yen (USD68.58)
  • South Korea: 98,000 won (USD67.14)
  • Hong Kong: HKD 549 (USD70.59)
  • Taiwan: TWD 2,280 (USD68.84)

Generally speaking, the price of first-party Nintendo Switch games in Asian territories are pegged to Japanese prices, though there are a few exceptions. It seems this will still apply on Nintendo Switch 2.

The dual pricing for digital and physical, where digital versions of first-party Nintendo Switch 2 games cost USD10 less than physical versions, will still apply in Asia.
