Marvel Studios Unveils Official MCU Phase 4 Lineup For 2020 & 2021, Coming To Theaters And Disney+

Who says we’re in the end game?

During this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios has finally revealed their Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4 slate, announcing several upcoming films and series launching between 2020 and 2021.

Black Widow, which will feature Taskmaster as the villain, is set to kick things off the new phase when it releases in theaters on May 2020. In addition, series such as The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, and Hawkeye will be streamed exclusively via Disney+.

As previously reported, Disney+ is a subscription video service which will feature all sorts of Disney properties. It will be heading to consoles, and Disney is now apparently in discussion to bring the service to the Nintendo Switch. If all goes well, we could be watching these most anticipated series on the hybrid console, as well.

Read on below for the announcements:

Black Widow – May 1, 2020, Theaters

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier – Fall 2020, Disney+

The Eternals – November 6, 2020, Theaters

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings – February 12, 2021, Theaters

Wanda Vision – Spring 2021, Disney+

Loki – Spring 2021, Disney+

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness – May 7, 2021, Theaters

What If…? – Summer 2021, Disney+

Hawkeye – Fall 2021, Disney+

Thor: Love and Thunder – November 5, 2021, Theaters

Blade (Reboot) – TBD, Theaters

Before leaving things off, sequels for Black Panther and Captain Marvel have also been confirmed. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is also coming, albeit without announcements on when these are coming out. Fantastic Four, X-Men, and Mutants were also teased and are now in development. Here’s what producer Kevin Feige had to say at the end of the panel:

“We didn’t even mention that we’re making Black Panther 2. And we didn’t mention that Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is coming. We didn’t even have time to talk about Captain Marvel 2, by the way. I didn’t even have time to talk about the Fantastic Four. And there’s no time left to talk about mutants.”
