Masuda Reveals Master Trainers For Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu/Eevee
In a recent Polygon interview with Game Freak director Junichi Masuda, the director revealed something that exists in Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu/Eevee – Master Trainers.
Masuda says trainers who’ve completed the main story can compete against Master Trainers in the post-game. Master Trainers are described as “incredibly powerful” trainers. Masuda added that most of the difficult stuff is actually found after beating the main story, and in order to defeat Master Trainers, you will have to strengthen your Pokemon.
Master Trainers sound very similar to what we’ve heard in earlier Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu/Eevee rumors. If true, Master Trainers are actually popular characters returning from past mainline games.

UPDATE: There are 151 Master Trainers in the game. Each Master Trainer is an expert of one of the 151 Kanto region Pokemon. Defeat them and you earn their title.
Oh, I see (via Serebii) that Vandal actually elaborates on the “Master Trainers” feature. There are 151 specialty trainers that hold the title to being each Pokémon’s expert, their example being a Squirtle master. You find and defeat them for their titles. https://t.co/V2EpyKf5ep
