In Japan, Media Create is one of the largest sales trackers for video games that collects and publishes stats on a weekly basis.
Atsushi Hosokawa, director of Media Create, recently gave some thoughts on Nintendo Switch will perform in 2019. First, he believed that the Switch will continue to grow in the next fiscal year, set to begin on April 1, 2019. He believes sales for the console in the next fiscal year will surpass the last fiscal year, which is expected to be 17 million consoles.
In addition, the director predicts that Nintendo Switch will have a lifecycle of about 7 years, so he expects the console to be supported at least until 2024.
