After weeks of rumors, Microsoft has officially confirmed they are bringing some of their XBox exclusives to other platforms.
This announcement was made by XBox head Phil Spencer on the official XBox Podcast, where he confirmed plans to bring more XBox exclusive games to other platforms such as the Switch and Playstation.
Spencer said they are currently working on at least four titles to bring to other platforms, although he did not specify what they were. Instead, Spencer discussed their criteria for deciding which games to bring over, saying they looked at games that were at least a year old, and included games that were “community-driven”, first installments, or “smaller titles”.
Following his announcement, Japanese outlet Famitsu named four specific games that would be brought over: Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, Sea of Thieves and Grounded. Although not specifically confirmed by XBox, its notable that Hi-Fi Rush was already hinted to be going multi-platform by a datamine.
Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
