Last year, Microsoft’s Phil Spencer announced plans to bring former XBox exclusive games to other platforms, with four major games eventually releasing on Switch.
In an interview with Bloomberg, Spencer confirmed that the company still intends to bring their games to other platforms, stating that he sees “no red lines” with regards to what can be brought over. Many believe that this could mean that even major titles like Halo could release on a Nintendo console, although Spencer said it was “too early” to make a decision when asked directly.
Elsewhere in the interview, Spencer also talked about a potential for a Microsoft handheld console, which he expressed interest in in the past. According to Spencer, Microsoft has been exploring prototypes of such a device, but a release is still “a few years out”. In other words, it is unlikely that we’ll see a handheld XBox before the Switch 2 launches.
