In addition to hints towards the Coffee Shop and Art Gallery, Animal Crossing: New Horizons players have discovered more clues as to potential future DLC plans for the game.
The first clue we’re sharing is one hinting at more shops being made available for players to build on the island. Currently, only the general store and tailor shop are available for players to construct. However, some players have had Isabelle request that they “increase the variety of shops” in order to raise their island rating, even though the player already has both the available shops built.
The next hint comes from another round of Villager dialogue. This time, a report has come in from Spanish outlet Nintenduo that Villagers may sometimes reference Kapp’n (AKA Capitan) in their conversations, even though he is currently not present in the game. This has been taken to mean that he may be added in the near future.
The prevailing theory of course is that all these additional dialogue options are there to future-proof the game when DLC or updates are released. That said, we will have to wait for official announcements from Nintendo to be absolutely sure that such content is coming.
