Earlier this year at the D.I.C.E Summit 2020, Shacknews spoke with Mortal Kombat Co-Creator Ed Boon, who shared his thoughts about what it would be like to have the series represented in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Specifically, Shacknews asked Boon how he would feel if two of Mortal Kombat‘s most iconic characters (Scorpion and Sub-Zero) appeared in Smash Ultimate as fighters. In response, Boon had this to say:
“For me personally (I can’t speak for all of Warner Bros or anything), that would be kind of like a stamp of approval. It’d be like being part of the gang and all that stuff. I would love to see that.”
Aside from Smash, Boon also spoke a bit more about upcoming content for Mortal Kombat 11, which you can listen to in the full interview from Shacknews below:
