Previously news went out that NBA 2K18 might have amiibo support. However, after confirming with a 2K Sports representative, GameSpot (link) has reported that NBA 2K18 will not support amiibo figures.
While there may not be any support for amiibo figures, the basketball game will launch with full feature parity with other consoles, giving players the same experience on the Nintendo Switch.
