Wondering what Mario and Luigi are getting up to before their grand adventure in The Super Mario Bros. Movie? Here’s a closer look!

Illumination has released a new “Plumbing Commercial” for the upcoming film, where we get a fresh peek at Mario and Luigi’s day job as plumbers. The entire ad is actually a throwback to the original 1989 Super Mario Bros. Super Show, including its catchy opening theme song that introduces the brothers as the ultimate plumbing duo.

In conjunction with this trailer, an official website for “Super Mario Bros. Plumbing” has also been opened. It includes a number that folks can call  to get a special message from Luigi’s (as voiced by Charlie Day) or text to get a sign-up opportunity for movie promotional materials.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie will be hitting cinemas on 7 April 2023. We’ll report back as we hear more in the future.
