Nintendo has shared some details about an important mechanic for New Pokemon Snap.
As seen in many of the game’s promotional materials, players will be able to feed Pokemon fruit in order to lure them closer for a photo opportunity. According to Nintendo Of America, the fruit that is seen in the trailers is called the “Fluffruit”, and is a popular food for Pokemon living in the Lental region.
Although this fruit mechanic was also present in the original Pokemon Snap, it was simply referred to as an “apple-like Pokemon Food” by Professor Oak, and not given any special name. That said, since apples are confirmed to exist in the Pokemon universe as they can be obtained as items in Pokemon Sword And Shield, the decision to give it a fancy name like “Fluffruit” may come across as a bit of an odd choice to some.
