Pokemon GO players can now stay on the look-out for even more deadly Shadow Pokemon!
Niantic has revealed that Team GO Rocket grunts will be spawning with a larger variety of Shadow Pokemon worldwide. These new encounters include the ever-popular Larvitar and Turtwig among others – and should be available with the latest update of the AR mobile game.
Check out the full details below.
Team GO Rocket continues to cause trouble in Pokémon GO with their aggressive Shadow Pokémon. These villains already have several Shadow Pokémon on their team, and now their roster has grown even more! Look for new Shadow Pokémon, like Oddish, Gloom, Venonat, Venomoth, Psyduck, Growlithe, Abra, Hitmonchan, Larvitar, and Turtwig, to begin appearing in Team GO Rocket’s discolored PokéStops.
It’s up to you to drive those Team GO Rocket Grunts out of the PokéStops with a battle. You’ll then have the chance to catch one of their abandoned Shadow Pokémon and, if you choose to, purify it. If you enjoy taking your Pokémon out on Pokémon GO Community Days, there’s a good reason to purify them—if you have a Pokémon that’s eligible to learn a new move during one of the monthly Community Days, it will be unable to do so if it’s a Shadow Pokémon. Purified Pokémon, however, can learn these special event-exclusive moves.
It’s up to you to save these neglected Pokémon, Trainers. Good luck!
