The Pokemon Company has announced a new special max raid event for Pokemon Sword and Shield.
From January 1st till January 9th 2022, various luck themed Pokemon will be more likely to appear as Max Raid events, including Magikarp, Meowth, Darmanitan, and Sudowoodo. One of the encounters is a guaranteed Shiny Magikarp.
Once the start date arrives, it can be activated by selecting “Get Wild Area News” in the Mystery Gift menu.
