It looks like the developers behind Pokemon GO are branching out for new inspiration.
Niantic Labs has unveiled the Beyond Reality Developer Contest – which contains a prize pool of one million USD. In particular, Niantic will task interested participants to use its ‘Niantic Real World Platform’ to create Augmented Reality (AR) games.
All in all, the company is looking to gather 10 teams in the San Francisco area. For three months, each team will earn an allowance of around $70,000 each.
Finally, Niantic will award the top three contest entries as follows:
