Despite the launch of the Switch OLED model, rumors have continued to circulate about a potential “Switch Pro”, an updated model of the Switch boasting much more power and graphical capabilities than all the others that came before it.

Recently, Japanese publication Nikkei put out a new article related to the speculation. In an interesting twist, Nikkei’s article claims that there will be no new Nintendo hardware coming in this fiscal year ending in March 2023. That said, as mentioned by Bloomberg reporter Takashi Mochizuki, it is not clear whether this information comes from Nikkei’s own digging, or from Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa, who was interviewed for the same article.
