Nintendo has officially confirmed that their mystery animated short “Close To You” is about Pikmin.
An updated version of the short has been released on the Nintendo Today app, which adds in Pikmin carrying objects that previously seemed to move on their own. That said, it seems Nintendo still did not provide any further context for the video, such as whether it is tied to a new game or simply a continuation of their previously released Pikmin short movies.
