Nintendo Confirms The 2019 Coronavirus Outbreak Has Affected Switch Production

Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa has announced a piece of news concerning Nintendo Switch production in mainland China.

The president confirmed to the media that the 2019 coronavirus outbreak has negatively affected production of the Nintendo Switch. This shouldn’t be surprising as parts of China are currently in lockdown to contain the virus. If things continue to worsen, there could be shortages happening in the near future.

The 2019 coronavirus has infected over 8000 people worldwide and 170 people have passed away from it as of January 30, 2020.
