The first ever Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase, which was held on July 20, 2020, has received a huge wave of dislikes on Youtube.

2 hours after it went live, the Nintendo of America stream received 47,000 dislikes and 53,000 likes, which is a very high number of dislikes for a Nintendo Direct:

The Nintendo UK stream didn’t do any better, as it received 3,100 dislikes and 2,600 likes:

The only video that did well was the Japanese stream, which received 11,000 likes and 1,900 dislikes:

The reason behind the high number of dislikes could be because many Nintendo fans in the west were expecting Super Mario news, which didn’t happen as this was a partner showcase and not a general Nintendo Direct.
