Earlier this week, Nintendo announced a Mario Kart Tour closed beta test for Android users living in Japan and the United States.
An investor decided to ask why a closed beta is being organized for Mario Kart Tour, and whether future smartphone apps will have similar beta tests in the future.
Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa explained the company is expecting many people to download and play Mario Kart Tour, so they need the game to undergo some testing first in order to ensure things go smoothly at launch.
Furukawa also added Nintendo wants to get feedback from testers of Mario Kart Tour. He also says not every smartphone app put out by Nintendo is guaranteed a beta test in the future.
