As reported yesterday, the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U eShop digital stores have officially closed, with no further digital purchases possible from them. However, there’s still some hope for folks who are hanging on to digital game codes.
Nintendo has extended digital game code redemptions in the 3DS and Wii U eshops until 4 April 2023 at 1:30 pm JST (which translates to 3 April 2o23 at 9:30pm PT and 4 April 2023 at 12:30 am ET).
Such digital code redemptions were supposed to originally shut down with the closing of the 3DS and Wii U eShops, but Nintendo mistakenly ended them by a few hours early. This extension was therefore offered as an apology.
