Many firms, investors, and fans have been persuading Nintendo to officially enter the Chinese market and sell their goods there.
Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima says Nintendo is aware of China’s huge population and opportunities, and hope to see the Chinese people enjoy Nintendo Switch and the games on it. The company is still “working through point by point” and consulting other parties on the best way of entering the Chinese market.
When it comes to Nintendo’s smart-device business, Kimishima believes it would be better to collaborate with local companies to offer Nintendo’s smartphone apps in China, but he has nothing to say on this topic now.
