Nintendo Hopes Cadence Of Hyrule Will Be The First Of Many Nintendo Indie Crossovers

This week, Nintendo announced Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring The Legend of Zelda, a game developed by Brace Yourself Games with a Zelda twist.

The announcement was very shocking as this was the first time an indie had the opportunity to work on a full and complete crossover with The Legend of Zelda, a Nintendo IP. Nintendo hopes that Cadence of Hyrule will be the first of many of these crossovers, in the words of Nintendo of America’s Kirk Scott:

“I hope that this is indeed the beginning of a closer relationship between independent developers and our IPs. It would be great and it would benefit both parties.”

What do you think? Do you want to see more of these indie crossovers?
