Nintendo Japan has announced they are increasing the cost of repairing a Switch in Japan.
As announced on social media, the price of Switch repairs is due to increase by 1,100 yen in Japan from March 26th 2025. The reasoning given is the rising costs of spare parts, and this increase will apply to repairs for all Switch 1 models.
At the time of this writing, it is not known if a similar price increase will be happening for repairs in other parts of the world. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
