Nintendo Registers New Trademark For “Pokegenic” In Japan

Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures Inc., the three owners of The Pokemon Company, have registered a new trademark for the Pokemon franchise in Japan.

The trademark is for the term “Pokegenic”, and covers “exhibitions, performances, education, culture, entertainment” and more. It is unknown at this time what exactly the trademark is actually for, be it a new type of branding for the franchise, a new game, or something else entirely. We will bring more information as it becomes available.
