Nintendo Reinforces Switch Portability, Sells Dock-less Switch In Japan

Taking out the home console aspect of the Switch, the Switch is still an excellent portable console. So much so that some players play their consoles in handheld mode most of the time.

While most of the Switch’s marketing place emphasis as a home console, Nintendo seems to be playing up the portable aspect of it by starting to sell Switch consoles without the dock in Japan. Nintendo fans can now get a Switch with just the Console, Joy-cons, Straps at just ¥26,978 (US$$244) on The My Nintendo Store. You will still need to get your own charger.

This deal may be good for families wanting to get a second Switch but do not need an additional dock, on top of those who wish to just use the portable aspect of the Switch.
