Following the announcement last month, Nintendo has released a special video message from Charles Martinet and Shigeru Miyamoto about the change in Mario’s voice actor.
The video is a little over 3 minutes long, and has Martinet and Miyamoto discussing the former’s stepping down from voicing Mario and becoming a Mario Ambassador, a role which involves Martinet continuing to travel to events and “sharing the joy of Mario” with fans. Miyamoto also expresses his thanks and appreciation for Martinet’s work as Mario throughout the years.
