Nintendo Releases Statement Regarding Stories Of Abuse Within Smash Bros. Competitive Community

Over the past few days, there have been multiple stories of abuse surfacing regarding notable members of the Super Smash Bros. competitive community.

In response to these allegations, Nintendo released a statement to IGN to comment on the situation. Although no names were named, Nintendo strongly condemns their disturbing actions and voiced their support of the victims involved.

“At Nintendo, we are deeply disturbed by the allegations raised against certain members of the competitive gaming community. They are absolutely impermissible. We want to make it clear that we condemn all acts of violence, harassment, and exploitation against anyone and that we stand with the victims.”
