A promotional email from Nintendo has confirmed the requirements to unlock Mirror Mode in Mario Kart World.

The four requirements are as follows:

• Playing Grand Prix and Knockout Tour in 150cc (a green check mark over the 150cc icon for each cup/rally will indicate that you’ve played it. No trophies or stars required)
• 10 Peach Medallions in Free Roam
• 10 P-Switch Missions in Free Roam
• 10 ? Panels in Free Roam

The requirements outlined by Nintendo match what we’ve previously wrote in our mirror mode unlock guide. However, it’s worth mentioning that you’ll need to play the 150cc Special Cup after meeting all the requirements in Free Roam, Grand Prix, and Knockout Tour. This will trigger the mirror mode unlock scene after racing on Rainbow Road.
