It looks like Nintendo has finally closed the book on another chapter of its war against videogaming piracy.
Older fans might remember that Nintendo once had its very own anti-piracy advocacy website at ap.nintendo.com – where visitors could learn about and flag the piracy of Nintendo products. Of course, the site’s most memorable feature was probably its banner, which featured Mario with an angry expression.
Well, that website has now gone on to rest in the internet graveyard. As of May 6, you can no longer access the same website normally – as it just links back to Nintendo’s regular homepage.
Although you can still view the antiquated page via the Way Back Machine (and pay Angry Mario a visit) – we can’t help but feel like an era of Nintendo history has ended. At the very least, Nintendo can now move on with more professional website designs.
