Back in March 2023, Nintendo officially shut down the 3DS eshop, officially retiring the handheld console after nearly a decade of service.
However, it seems that hasn’t stopped people from snatching up software in one last hurrah. According to Nintendo’s latest financial results, they managed to ship another 210,000 3DS games after the closure, presumably referring to retail and online sales of physical games since the eshop is closed.
This modest increase seems to show 3DS owners are still interested in playing and purchasing new games on the console, even though Nintendo has long since ceased support of it in favor of the Switch. But what do you think? Let us know in the comments.
