It seems that the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller has some secret tricks under the hood that make it slightly better than the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.
According to the official Nintendo website, the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller requires 3 hours to fully recharge. That’s half the time it takes (6 hours) to recharge the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller also comes with a smaller 1070mAh capacity lithium battery, compared to the original controller’s larger 1300mAh capacity. Fortunately, the smaller capacity doesn’t seem be affecting the Switch 2 Pro Controller’s battery life, as both controllers last for about 40 hours on a full charge.
In addition, the Switch 2 Pro Controller comes in slightly lighter at 235g, versus the Switch Pro Controller’s 246g.
