Nintendo Hong Kong has announced that the Nintendo Switch eShop is opening its shop in Hong Kong next month on 3 April 2018. However, the eShop is going to open with a few limitations.
Hong Kong Switch gamers can use the Hong Kong eShop to redeem purchased game codes, as well as, redownload games that they have already purchased.
However, they will be unable to browse the eShop for games (and their relevant information), use their eShop balance to pay for games, as well as, partake in any online game play.
Hong Kong gamers who wish to purchase Switch games using the Hong Kong Nintendo eShop will have to purchase the game’s serial on Nintendo Hong Kong’s web store before redeeming it on the Switch.
Although the launch features of the Hong Kong Nintendo Switch eShop is rather half-hearted, at least Hong Kong gamers can now get Hong Kong region digital games.
