Nintendo Switch Fails To Detect Joy-Con After Version 9.0.1 Update (UPDATE)

UPDATE: Apparently the controller still works while attached, but the Joy-Con attachment color effect does not show on the side of the screen.

Multiple users are reporting a serious bug after updating their Nintendo Switch to version 9.0.1.

According to Weibo reports, after the version 9.0.1 firmware update was installed, Nintendo Switch fails to detect the Joy-Con the moment it’s attached. You can see a video of that happening below:

Some speculate this might have something to do with a fix for a bug where the Nintendo Switch Lite asks players to detach their Joy-Con. We will have to wait and see what happens.

Are you experiencing the same issue? Let us know in the comments.

Thanks, Brandon.
