Famitsu has published the latest sales data for the Japanese market for the period of January 28 to February 24, 2019.
On the 2nd anniversary of Nintendo Switch, Famitsu reports lifetime sales for the console have hit 7,563,000 units in Japan. This means 7.5 million Switch consoles have been sold by the 2nd anniversary (103rd week) of the system.
This means the Switch is selling faster than the Wii in Japan, as it took 104 weeks for the Wii to sell 7 million systems there.
