Nintendo has announced the first network maintenance for Nintendo Switch in 2020.
The first network maintenance will take place on January 7, 2020 from 1:30pm to 2:30pm JST. That’s January 6, 2020 8:30pm to 9:30pm Pacific Time. During the network maintenance, all online services such as the Nintendo eShop and online play will be down.
Some Japanese users have speculated that the network maintenance is in preparation for a new firmware update. Whether that turns out to be the case we’ll have to wait and see.
